The body posture during sleeping is very important for a good night’s rest. A healthy body posture improves the quality of sleep and removes all types of body pain. During sleeping your head, neck and spine should keep in a neutral position. So that no parts of the body feel pain while you sleep.
The perfect pillow can make your body in alignment, from the spine to the head. The proper alignment of the head, neck, spine, and hip ensures the complete rest of the body. So, in the morning you will wake up from your bed with no back and neck pain.
On the other hand, the deflated or worn-out pillow may put your head, neck, spine, and hip out of alignment. As a result, your body doesn’t get sufficient support from the bed. Consequently, you will wake up in the morning feeling pain, strain, and discomfort in your hip, spine, and neck.

Shape: 

You can choose the shape of the pillow as per your choice. However, sleeping on too many small pillows will not be good.

 Pillows made in different sizes like Medium, Large, Standard, King, Queen, etc. are available in the market.

 From this, you can choose a pillow of your choice.

Pillow cover: 

Pillow cover also plays a vital role during sleeping on it. The pillow cover should not be too rough. A hard and rough pillow cover may create an uncomfortable situation while you sleep on it.

Pillow covers that are specially made with embroidered sheets should not be used when sleeping at night. A soft cotton or satin cover is best as a pillow cover.

Pillow height: 

Extra high or very low height pillow is not good for both sleep and health at all. The height of the pillow should be medium. The height of the pillow should be such that it lies flat or parallel without bending your shoulders or neck. If you have a habit of lying back on one side, then the height of the pillow should be as low as the height of your neck. And if you prefer to lie on your back, the height of your neck and pillow should be parallel.
